I'm a writer and editor based in New York City.
My writing and policy analysis has covered U.S. foreign policy, climate and energy, European politics, and arts and culture. I'm currently Deputy Editor for the Council on Foreign Relations. My freelance writing has appeared in Washington Monthly, Brookings, and elsewhere. I've also helped clients develop their voice.
A graduate of Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, and proud Wisconsin native, I've lived and studied in Chile, Egypt, India, China, South Korea, and Bangladesh.
And when I'm not writing, I'm a little obsessed with catching the next wave.
